This is about 1.5 miles north of the TIA northern property boundary. Exit Hillsborough Avenue to the North on Hoover Blvd. (across from the TIA freight and express loading entrance). Hoover Blvd. becomes Anderson Road and then comes to West Sligh Avenue. Turn left on West Sligh and TECO Western is just adjacent to the 7-11 property. THIS COMMITTEE IS DIRECTED TO MEET AT NOON AT THE PERKINS RESTAURANT about 1.5 miles north on Anderson at the SW corner of the intersection with West Waters Avenue. - NECode questions will be entertained and addressed. - The Division has lost one of its founding members from way back in 1983. Robert (Bob) Skolmowski, of All Electric Services Company passed away on 02/28. A moment of silent prayer for Bob will be given at the meeting. Remember to get your NECode questions for the 80th Annual Meeting submitted to the Secretary. Also remember that if you have a question that genuinely needs answered, that the question cannot be considered to be a dumb or stupid question. Some times we lose sight of the fact that not every person has the same understanding of the Codes as the other. Historically over the years I have heard many times comments, especially by inspectors, that the question was too simple, dumb, stupid or not revelant. Yet this same person doing the criticising asked almost verbatim the same question(s) upon becoming an inspector. * * * * * * * 03/08/10 630pm Pasco ECF at Rexel Electrical Distributers, Gulf Drive, New Port Richey. 03/11/10 Noon 80th Annual Committee meeting at Perkins Restaurant, SW corner of Waters and Anderson Roads, Tampa. 03/11/10 130pm Suncoast Division, TECO Western, Tampa. 03/18/10 530pm Tampa ECF at American Legion, 3813 Bay Vista Ave., Tampa. 03/27/10 800am REGISTRATION FOR THE GROUNDING SEMINAR. Following a recent discussion on the BOAF discussion group, Don Fuchs forwarded me this nice little checklist for 2008 outlet requirements in dwellings. While it does have inaccuracies, it is a nice template for anyone that might like to use it.

Commission Action: Approved
DCA09-DEC-351 by Joseph Belcher, Code Consultant
Question: In the case of sunrooms attached to single family dwellings, do the provisions of AAMA 2100 related to receptacle outlets prevail?
Answer: Yes. AAMA 2100 is more specific than NFPA 70 (NEC) with regard to the definition of sunrooms and the placement of receptacle outlets, and therefore in according to Section 102.1 of the FBC, Building, AAMA 2100’s provisions prevail over NFPA 70 (NEC) with regard to the subject in question.
