Is IAEI giving us a code book this time? I didn't see any reference with my renewal notice.

I'm not sure. I think there is some sort of prerequisite to get the free code book. Does anyone know?

It used to be that you needed 3 consecutive years of paying dues to get the book. As long as you stayed current every year you got one each code cycle.

Yes, I seem to remember that. Well, why don't we all email them and ask them directly? Here are the links:

customerservice@iaei.org

or

athomas@iaei.org

or

adenton@iaei.org

I am sending mine now.

Here is the response from IAEI Customer Service

Quote:
Notices were sent out last Friday to people who are eligible to receive the free Code Book. Be watching for a bright piece of either yellow or pink paper. Be sure to return the original form ASAP.

Here is mine:

From: customerservice@iaei.org
To: Chiefns830@cs.com
Received from Internet: click here for more information

Notices for the free code books went out last Thursday to members who meet the three year requirement. Be watching for them. Please be sure to return the original flyer.

I didn't get any warning about the colored paper and I feel cheated. Nick.

I just got my flyer today.
Mine was bright yellow.
It's 8 bucks for the free code book (postage) or, if you want the code book including the tabs that go with it, they are charging $16.oo

Aha! More information today. See below:
-------------------------------------------------
Hello Nick,

We are providing a code book this year, as well. If the member qualifies he/she will receive a letter in the mail within 2 weeks.

Thanks,

Annette Thomas
Director of Customer Service
Int'l Association of Electrical Inspectors

972-235-1455 Ext. 38
-------------------------------------------------

So from what I can gather, if someone does not qualify they will not receive the letter. ns
