Works for me! I was when I worked in the field! (tested that is not by grandfather) Lets do that, we need licensed journeyman electricians working on the job!

I was one too. I remember that the State had it in the law, but it was up to every individual county whether or not they adopted that law. Don't really remember the mechanics of it. I think it was back in '89 or '90.

Even though the county I worked in did not adopt the journeyman card rule, I still got a pay raise for having my journeyman's card. More importantly, passing the journeyman's test and getting the journeyman license reassured me that I was at least heading in the right direction. And it gave me the confidence to go further and pass the master elec. exam.
