In order to comply with this section, do you feel Flash Hazard calculations should be posted as apart of the warning?

I think too much information decreases the effectiveness of a sign. The FPN points you to ANSI 535.4 for guidance.

ANSI 535.4
DANGER indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury. This signal word is to be limited to the most extreme situations.
WARNING indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury. It may also be used to alert against unsafe practices."

Technically yes, but required by code -- not in 2002. Can't enforce a FPN. IAEI mag had some examples, forgot what issue, one of the examples was pretty plain and straightforward.

NEC 110.16 2002 & 2005 require an Arc-Flash warning label to be field installed. NEC 2005 has a few more pieces of equipment such as Meter Sockets for installation of this label. As far as doing the analysis and including this information on the label, the NEC doesn't require it, at this time. However, OSHA does require proper PPE and protection of recognized hazards in the workplace. Arc-Flash, blast and shock are all recognized hazards. OSHA enforces its "General Duty Clauses" and uses NFPA 70E as the "how to comply". In NFPA 70E, an Arc-Flash Hazard Analysis is required without any exceptions. We can thank Richard M. Nixon for adopting OSHA as Federal Law back in 1970. He is typically not remembered for that. If there is any further explanation needed, I can be reached at karnold@cooperbussmann.com. Thanks.

It was an accepted code change for 2005! The reasion it didn't get in, is because at voting time there was an absent member, and the proposal didn't get the required 2/3 vote to get in the code. Maybe next code cycle.
