In an effort to satisfy 230-2(e), a contractor has labelled one end of a building as "Electrical meter room 1 of 2". Then the signage goes on to say that "Electrical meter room 2 of 2" is located at the opposite end of the building.
This building has a total of 2 services.
I told the contractor that the signage did not satisfy 230-2(e) because it did not clearly state the
number of services. All the rest of the signage (I did not list it all here) complies and is not an issue.
The contractor claims that the signage meets the intent of the code in that someone will open the doors (can't walk in, doors are to provide weather protection only) and see that it's one service and when they go to the other end of the building they will open the doors and see that it's another service.
??
I think I'm right but he doesn't. Opinions please. Am I being reasonable or am I being stubborn?
