IAEI Minutes
May 2, 2001
The meeting was called to order by Ed Huntsberger on May 2, 2001 at the Holiday Inn in Palatka at 12:00 noon.
Present at the meeting were: Mark Nechvatal, Taylor Sams, Joff Filion, Ed Huntsberger, Don Brindley, Dallas Stratton, John Griffin, Brad Chadwick, Ron Rowe, Dan Standish, J.C. Patrick, Jimmy Douglas, Thomas Rodgers, Jackie Garrett, Leo Wadeson, Tommy Underwood, William Thompson, Dwight Wilkes, Howard T. White, Jim Williams and Dan Carter.
John Griffin gave the invocation.
The minutes were approved as sent out.
Treasurer Report: Dallas Stratton reported we are solvent and all bills are paid.
Old Business: Dwight Wilkes and Joff Filion reported on the Officers Installation Dinner. The dinner will be on Saturday, June 9th at the Ale Works Restaurant in St. Augustine across from the City Marina. There will be a reception hour starting at 6:30 pm and dinner around 7:30 pm. Gift and door prizes are to be won and a good time is in store for everyone. Our Division has reserved an assembly room and we need for you to R.S.V.P. if you plan to attend; and let us know if you are bringing someone with you. We need to make sure there is dinner for everyone. New Business: Don Brindley will be teaching a
Building Officials Association of Florida sponsored 2 hr. seminar on Handicaps for Inspectors at the Marion County complex on June 9th at 10:00 am. Call Jimmy McClain at the Building Department for more information. 620-7441
Dan Carter reported on the Journeyman Bill being sponsored by Senator Jim King and the progress associated with it.
Ed Huntsberger passed out applications to Don Brindley and Dwight Wilkes for them to apply to be a member of the IAEI Southern Section Code Pool.
Dwight Wilkes wants all the inspectors to report back from their departments how they will apply the January 1, 2002 deadline for the use of Arc Fault Breakers.

Ed Huntsberger pulled Jackie Garrett’s name out of the hat for the 50/50 draw. Lucky Jackie.
