IAEI Minutes
September 3, 2003

The meeting was called to order by Philip Dunnington on September 3, 2003 at the Holiday Inn in Palatka at 11:30.

Present at the meeting were: John Griffin, Charles Crain, Phil Dunnington, Bill Thompson, Jimmy Douglas, Dallas Stratton, Michael Timponaro, Andrew Schirmacker, Don Brindley, Taylor Sams, Alan Shiell, Eric Bruinn, Dwight Wilkes, Richard Davis, Cliff Wilson, Mark Nechvatal, and Dan Carter.

The minutes were approved as sent out, John Griffin gave the invocation and Philip Dunnington led The Pledge of Allegiance

Treasury Report: Dallas Stratton said all bills are paid and we are solvent.

Old Business: None

New Business: Philip Dunnington informed everyone present that the hotel will be charging $ 8.51 for lunch from now on.

Mike Timpanaro requested that our Division support the Sixth Annual Electrical Seminar to benefit the Christian Care Center in Lake County. Mike Holt will offer a seminar on Grounding and Bonding requirements on October 2, 2003at Bob Norris auditorium. The motion was to donate $ 250.00 for food to help out the seminar. The vote was unanimous.

Don Brindley will provide our Division with a CEU class on “Overcurrent Protection of Panelboards” next month at our regular October meeting. The meeting will start at 11:30. Lunch will start at 11:00 A.M. Certificates will be issued after the class. Members will pay $ 15.00 per person and non-members will pay $ 25.00. See you there.

Philip Dunnington introduced Kevin Arnold with Bussmann who gave a presentation on “Arc Flash Protection”. This secretary wants everyone to know you missed a great and important presentation for the safety of the industry and what the code requires of you in your business. For follow up go to www.bussmann.com and click on safety. Requirements are for “other than residential”.


Philip Dunnington drew Dallas Stratton’s name out of the hat for the 50/50 draw, lucky Dallas. 2 Times in a row.

The next meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn in Palatka at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday October 1, 2003.
