IAEI Minutes
December 3, 2003

Philip Dunnington called the meeting to order on December 3, 2003 at the Holiday Inn in Palatka at 12:00 PM.

Present at the meeting were: John Griffin, Charles Crain, Phil Dunnington, Dallas Stratton, Andrew Schirmacker, Cliff Wilson, Ron Rowe, Jim Lindahl, Joff Filion, J.C. Patrick, Jimmy Douglas, Mark Nechvatal, Sam Gerace, Wayne Zeigler, Paul McMahon, Ed Huntsberger, Fernando Gonzales, Alan Waters, and Dan Carter.
The minutes were approved as sent out, John Griffin gave the invocation and Philip Dunnington led The Pledge of Allegiance

Treasury Report: Dallas Stratton said all bills are paid and we are solvent.

Old Business: A question was asked if compression fittings would be accepted for wet locations. It was decided the fittings could be used for Raintight applications but PVC should be used for wet locations.
John Griffin led a discussion on arc fault breakers.

New Business: Dallas Stratton led a short discussion on workman’s comp. Insurance.
Howard White with the Building Officials Association of Florida requested a couple joint meetings with the IAEI this year for the purpose of overlapping. It was decided this would be a good idea. Dallas will be working on trying to coordinate a meeting for either March or April of next year.
Phil Dunnington led a discussion on services and metering for multiple occupant buildings. It was decided that the fire rating of the buildings patricians would be one of the deciding factors on whether meters would have to be grouped or not.

Philip Dunnington pulled Wayne Ziegler’s name from the hat for the 50/50 draw. Lucky Wayne.

The next meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn in Palatka at 12:00 noon January 7, 2004.
