Charles Crain called the meeting to order on, December 7, 2005 at San Mateo Seafood in Palatka at 12:00 PM for our annual Christmas meeting.
Present at the meeting were: John Griffin, Charles Crain, Joff Filion, Don Brindley, Jimmy Douglas, Jim Lindahl, Mark Nechvatal, Phil Dunnington, Andrew Schirmacher, Ed Huntsberger, William Bodie, William McKinney, Mike Adamson, Ron Rowe, Dallas Stratton, Richard Davis, and Alan Waters.
The minutes were approved as sent out; John Griffin gave the invocation and led The Pledge of Allegiance.

Treasury Report: Dallas Stratton reported that all bills are paid and we are solvent.

Old Business: Don Brindley announced we are up on membership at 207 members, however 58 of these memberships are in arrears. Don urged all of us to help to keep our members. Some of these however may just be the backlog at the IO.

New Business: Don Brindley announced that that the IAEI Manual on Hazardous Locations is available for $45.00 plus $1.00 shipping and handling, Contact Don for your copy soon.
Don also announced that Trainco Co. has a CEU course offered on January 30-31 for $795.00. This course is not recognized for your required CEU’s, just a reminder to be careful.

Charles Crain announced that he has come in contact with some NM-B romex that is bad coming from the factory. Cirtex-A from Zero Wire Manufacturing Co. has some 12-2 w/g manufactured August 12. 2005 has cracking in the insulation.

Charles also brought up Article 720 less than 50 volts. In the installation of some low voltage lighting the manufacturer had suggested the use of # 10 awg stranded wire. It was agreed that a conduit would have to be used for stranded but that romex could also be used. Individual conductors not part of a recognized assembly would not.
Education: Time restraints did not allow.

William Bodie won the 50/50 draw, lucky William.

The next meeting will be held at the Quality Inn in Palatka at 12:00 noon January 4, 2005.
