Richard Davis called the meeting to order on, September 6, 2006 at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 PM.

Present at the meeting were: John Griffin, Andrew Schirmacher, Richard Davis, Taylor Sams, Dallas Stratton, Charles Crain, Cliff Wilson, Jimmy Douglas, Edwin Garcia, Joff Filion, Don Brindley, Fernando Gonzalez, Dean Strickland, Jim Lindahl, and Alan Waters.

The minutes were approved as sent out; John Griffin gave the invocation and led The Pledge of Allegiance.

Treasury Report: Dallas Stratton reported that all bills are paid and we are solvent.

Old Business: We have relocated to the “Golden Corral” for this months meeting. A motion was made and seconded that we continue to meet here for future meetings.

The North Florida Division of the IAEI has completed two Code and Standard letters both are included in this mail out (if you are on email I have mailed a copy for you as well).

New Business: Dallas Stratton has been working on a location for our Divisions 2008 State Conference, he had been working on having the meeting at The World Golf Village but due to the TPC having a parallel schedule we are having to move it to downtown Jacksonville at the Omni hotel.

A discussion on circular mils for cable was brought up. This is not an NEC item but I’m told it is in the American Electricians Handbook.


The next meeting will be held at the “Golden Corral” Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 noon October 4, 2006.

From US17 take US19 South
Approximately ¼ mile south of the intersection with SR100 on the Left.
