The Alarm Associations position is they do not feel the need for Journeymen on jobs.

Tarry is working on a new inspector and new plans examiner course. Each will be four hours long and once it is approved by the State it will be required for all new inspectors and plans examiners. Tarry’s class for our August meeting will be on transformers.
Membership: Steve reported he is still having a problem with his password but it should be resolved soon. Steve will be checking the internationals list on the web for people in our division whose membership has expired and will write them a letter reminding them that their membership has expired and enclosing an application so they can renew.

The subject of the installation of PVC conduit in attics was brought up. Certain Building departments in Palm Beach county will be enforcing a ban of pvc in attics based on the theory of the temperature rating of the conduit is exceeded in attics.
