Secretary’s Report February 16, 2005

The February meeting of the Maynard Hamilton/ Fort Lauderdale Division was called to order by Past President Steve Mitchell. Present at the meeting was Past President Steve Mitchell, First Vice President Al Bostwick, Second Vice President Pat Richardson, Third Vice President Jack Fisher, Secretary/Treasurer Ted Licitra, Directors Tarry Baker, Bill Bender, Mickey Bray, Carlo Dibon, Joe McCann, Associates Pat Cristiano, Ken Gilbert, Ken Kotrady and Gary Simon.

The Treasurers report and the minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. It was noted in the Treasurers report all monies that were forwarded by this Division for the 2005 Florida Chapter Meeting were returned to our Divisions checking account.

Committee Reports:

Education: Tarry Baker has been designated as the Florida Chapter Education Chairman. He has been busy getting all the files in order and applying to the State for approvals for all new courses to be used by the Chapter.

2005 Chapter Meeting: Preparation for the meeting is going well. The mail out has been sent and applications from the attendees have been coming in. The committee has been working hard to ensure this meeting will be a total success. The meeting which will be held at the Radisson Bahia Mar Hotel on Fort Lauderdale Beach promises to an exciting event. Generators will be hot topic since of all the exposure they got after last seasons hurricane season.

Good Of the Association: We welcome two new members to the board of directors Carlo Dibon Chief Electrical Inspector from the City of Sunrise and Ed Renzi who will be ABCI’s representative for this year.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:45 p.m. so Tarry can start the education portion of this meeting. We had 92 people attend the education portion of this month’s meeting.
