Committee Reports:

State Meeting: Preparations for the upcoming Florida Chapter Meeting which our Division will be hosting are coming along nicely. With less than a month to go registrations is starting to pick up so it looks like we will be able to meet our hotel minimum room quota. We are also looking good in the area of vendors who have committed to coming down. One of the biggest concerns we had was contribution/ads. Both of these items are looking real good thanks to the many organizations who have graciously agreed to support us and the meeting.

Education: Tarry reported that 9 of his classes have been approved by both the state and the Board of Rules and Appeals.

Legislature: Steve reported that Senate bill 442 has been amended to indicate the NEC will be the electrical code used by the Florida Building Code and not the ICC version which is just a few pages long. With the latest amendments to the FBC the latest version of the NEC should be adopted by the FBC about 6 months after it goes into effect.

Accident and Sickness: Bill Reese had major surgery and we wish him a speedy recovery. Our Division will send flowers.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:50 p.m. so Tarry can proceed with the education portion of the meeting.

Respectfully Submitted
