Secretary Report February 15, 2006


President Al Bostwick called the meeting to order at 11:30 A.M. February 15, 2006. Present at the meeting were President Al Bostwick, First Vice President Jack Fisher, Second Vice President Pat Richardson, Third Vice President Jim Sugg, Secretary/Treasurer Ted Licitra, Parliamentarian Dave Cake, Past President Jim Sennello, Directors Tarry Baker, Bill Bender, Mickey Bray, Carlo DiBon and Joe McCann.

The Secretary’s report, the Treasurers report and the Financial Statement was submitted and approved by the Board.

Committee reports:

Education: Our Division will be sponsoring an 8 hour seminar on April 29, 2006. Mr. Mark Ode from Underwriters Laboratories will do 8 hours on the 2005 NEC Code Changes. The location of the seminar will be The Coral Springs Marriott. The cost will be $100 for members and $140 for non members. With the State finally adopting the 2005 NEC this seminar will be a must for us all.

Code Clearing: Dave Cake spoke about our Division should be more proactive with the Code. For example with all the discussion about optional stand by generators and its requirements about sizing and loads we should seek an interpretation and present it to all interested parties.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:55 p.m. so we can start the education portion of the meeting which will be on Generators.
