Did you see that?
They now say the required receptacle can be 6' from the water.

It seems strange that I have to keep Malibu lights 5' away but they just made it possible to set a TV right on the coping so you can change the channel while you are in the water.

Yes it does. This was a code change produced by the CMP. See Proposal 17-85a of the ROP.

Also, check out the new requirement in 680.22(E) and the FPN...
