Jimmy Douglas called the meeting to order on November 7, 2007 at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 PM. John Griffin led us in Prayer & the Pledge.

Present at the meeting were: Dallas Stratton, John Griffin, Charles Crain, Phil Dunnington, Don Schlueter, Charlie Mini, Wayne Zeigler, Robert Marvel, Richard Davis, Taylor Sams, Glen Brown, Dwight Wilkes, Jim Lindahl, Larry Cogburn, Jimmy Douglas, and Alan L Waters.

Treasury Report: Dallas Stratton reported that all bills are paid and we are solvent.

Old Business: Reminder: the carbon monoxide detectors and the pool bonding codes go into affect July 1, 2008.You can find information on this at myflorida.com.
We have been in touch with various supply houses concerning the combination arc fault units, and they have said that the availability will be there, but we could not seem to get what the cost of these will be, remember these will be necessary for jobs permitted after 1-1-08.

New Business: The North Florida Division is in charge of the May 2008 State Convention. This is a large undertaking, and Dallas Stratton has been working on this project for a while now. He is in need of committee chairpersons and volunteers willing to help. If you can help please contact Dallas @ (904)827-6836.
A motion was made and seconded that our division should purchase a copy of the 2008 NEC code changes on Power Point
Charles Crain announced that the St Johns Co. Web Permitting service has been opened for electrical permits

Education & Membership: Currently 184 Members

The next meeting will be held at the “Golden Corral” Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 noon December 5, 2007.
