Jimmy Douglas called the meeting to order on February 6, 2008 at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 PM. John Griffin led us in Prayer & the Pledge.

Present at the meeting were: Dallas Stratton, John Griffin, Jimmy Douglas, Robert Marvel, Don Brindley, Taylor Sams, Andrew Schirmacher, Joff Filion, Don Schlueter, Gus English, Edwin Garcia, Charles Grebe, Richard Davis, Fernando Gonzalez, Ralph Lohman, Greg Ferrone, Ron Rowe, William Clements, Michael Cobb, Eric Brunn, Joe McGowen, Larry Hites, Charlie Mini, Susan Knopf, Jim Lindahl, Mark Nechvatal, Luther Kennett, Patrick McQuiston, Mike Brooks, Dwight Wilkes, Danny Padgett, Raymond Smith, Don Smith, and Alan L. Waters.



Treasury Report: Dallas Stratton reported that all bills are paid and we are solvent.



Old Business: The North Florida Division is in charge of the May 2008 State Convention. This is a large undertaking, and Dallas Stratton has been working on this project for a while now. He is in need of committee chairpersons and volunteers willing to help, please contact Dallas @ (904)827-6836.

Raymond Smith announced that some of the Seminar registrations are starting to arrive.



New Business:
A motion was made and seconded that we will pay for an additional instructor to help Don with his education courses. Flyers for the courses are attached.

A motion was made and seconded that we should buy 30 or more 2008 NEC code changes analysis books to be sold by Don for his upcoming education courses.


Gus English announced that Brian Seay (JMEA Codes and Standards Chairman) is putting together a discussion group for issues in our area. This will be an email based set-up. More information will be afforded after it becomes available.

Dwight Wilkes nominated Richard Davis to head up the early bird portion of the upcoming seminar. Richard can be reached at (904) 377-1503




Education & Membership: Don read from the 2008 NEC Code Changes book, covering definitions.


Don Smith Won the 50/50 drawing. Thanks to all that participated.



The next meeting will be held at the “Golden Corral” Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 noon March 5, 2008.
