1. At 1:33 PM The Annual Meeting of the Suncoast Division commenced. The Pledge to the Flag and round robin introductions followed. A first time member to a Division Meeting was in attendance, Dave Curtin with Dave’s Home Helper. The Chair and membership welcomed him.

2. November minutes were reviewed and approved. A first motion by Gary Snodgrass and a second motion by John Sheesley. Minutes accepted as written.

3. Secretay Christlieb made his report. The Tampa Area Electrical Apprenticeship and Training Committee letter was read.

Discussion ensued and it was decided to make a donation of $500.00. A motion made by Gary Snodgrass to donate $500.00 and second was voiced by Paul Northrup Cameron. All were in favor.

Discussion on 2008 Analysis books resumed. Secretary noted it has been tabled.

The Suncoast Division Instructor Pool was read. Discussion ensued and all were in favor of the current list of remembers on the instructor pool list. A motion to accept the instructor pool list was made by John Sheesley and a second was voiced. The Instructor pool was accepted as read.

By Laws briefly discussed.

Email form Bryan Holland concerning GFCI outlets was read; the retirement of the Gulf Coast Divisions Secretary Pete Pluta. The Division sends their best wishes to Pete.

E mail from Rob Sly with U.L. About his providing a class on U.L. listings and also discussed the 2008 White Book. listings. Email from Tarry Baker concerning Agnes and Maynard Hamilton was read. Email. Division wishes the best to Dick Widera that he gets well soon.



Emails discussed concerning the Board of Directors meeting in January and the upcoming February seminar.
Discussion also commenced on the February 2 Seminar location and agenda. Discussion on location and costs. Also alternative places. Some places are just not with in the budget.

4. Treasuser report was read out loud. A copy is on file with the Secretary. Division remains soundly solvent. Gray Snodgrass motion for acceptance and second was made by Paul Northrup.

5. Education: Discussion for the February Seminar and costs. The seminar location will be the same as the September meeting.

6. Nomintaing Committee made its report for the 2008 Suncoast Division Officers

Treasurer : Bob Moore

President Montgomery read the nominations and asked if there were any other to add to the list. None were added. All were in favor. The list was approved for the 2008 Officers. The swearing in ceremony will be in January.

7. OLD BUSINESS: The 2008 analysis books were discussed. the Division has a quote from the International Office .

Discussion ensued that the Division will purchase the books and pay in 30 days from receipt of the invoice via the funds raised in February. The selling price was determined to be $45.00 per book to sell.
A delivery date was discussed. The seminar is February 2nd. We need to have a delivery date of January 15
A motion made to order the 2008 Analysis books. An order for 150 books will be made by the Secretary.


8. NEW BUSINESS: Larry Diaz discussed some concerns with TECO re-sealing meter bases. Also discussion on electrical panels and the neutral and ground concerns in the panel. Neil Burdick is looking into this concern of neutral current being imposed across the bare bonding jumper. This is due to the panel design.

9. Rob Sly with U.L. made a presentation on the new 2007 White Book. His slide presentation was informative. The White book is being set up in a user friendly format. Rob and Eric Boettcher both participated in the presentation. The entire book can not be fully addressed and Rob agreed to continue the class at another Suncoast Division Meeting.

10. Meeting was adjourned at 3:19PM.
