Jimmy Douglas called the meeting to order on March 5, 2008 at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 PM. John Griffin led us in Prayer & the Pledge.

Present at the meeting were: Dallas Stratton, John Griffin, Taylor Sams, Jimmy Douglas, Robert Marvel, Don Brindley, Andrew Schirmacher, Joff Filion, Don Schlueter, Gus English, Edwin Garcia, Richard Davis, Fernando Gonzalez, Ralph Lohman, Ron Rowe, William Clements, Joe McGowen, Charlie Mini, Mark Nechvatal, Danny Padgett, Raymond Smith, Whitney Pritchard, Charles Crain, Phil Dunnington and Bill McKinney.


Don Brindley made a motion to approve last month’s minutes. A second was made by Joff Filion. The motion carried.

Treasury Report:
Dallas Stratton reported that all bills are paid and we are solvent. Don Brindley made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report and pay all bills. A second was made by Richard Davis. The motion carried.



Old Business:
Don Brindley updated the two upcoming local seminars for Ocala (Quality Inn) on March 28th & 29th and Jacksonville (Modis Building) on April 12th & 13th.


New Business:
John Griffin gave a small presentation about Lightning Protection Systems, especially the “Preventer System.” He passed out a few brochures and passed around a part of the “Preventer System.”

Raymond Smith gave an update on the State Conference being held in Jacksonville in May. One of the items mentioned was the cutoff date to reserve a room at the Omni. That date is April 15th.



Education & Membership:
Don graciously gave up this time so the State Conference Committee could meet to go over items concerning the Conference.


The meeting was adjourned @ 12:40 p.m.




The next meeting will be held at the “Golden Corral” Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 noon April 2, 2008.
