Anyone have a good link to what the 2008 NEC is all about. I've applied for an Electrical Inspector position in NC & we are into the 2008. Want to be prepared.

I would suggest you get yourself a copy of the IAEI 2008 Analysis of Changes book. This way you can get a good overview of the significant changes that have occured between the 2005 and 2008 editions.

I started a cross-referecne checklist sometime back to give to contractors when I thought the code was going to be changed this year. I put that project on hold now that it looks like the 2008 NEC will not be adopted.

I also understand that Mark Ode and James Stallcup published together a really nice 2008 NEC Changes book this past year. I haven't had a good look at it but I have been told it is as good if not better than the IAEI version...

Well the interview is Thursday. Wish me luck.If I get the position I'll be asking a lot of opinions on 2008. Should be good for all.
