Hello All!

Please excuse a question by a Northerner (We are getting dumped on (snow)at this moment).
There is something that I have been wondering about. I was wondering if there were areas in Florida that required special Grounding procedures either because of soil content or consistency? (And what would that be?)
Thanks for any Comments,

Bill

Bill, by local Amendments in Palm Beach County Florida we require all bonding and grounding conductors to be copper. When a made electrode is the only electrode used we require Two to comply with 250-56. In the farming areas where the soil is made up of what we call Muck, most of the Inspectors require a cooper or copper clad rod to be used.

Thanks Eric,

They require Copper by me too (Long Island, NY) no more galvanized. So your sandy soil or swamplands don't require anything special?

Just an academic question.
