Old business:
*Vince Della Croce requested all to keep their email addresses current for communication. He can be reached at vince0766@bellsouth.net
New business:
*Vince Della Croce reminded all that the City of Port St. Lucie requires permits for low voltage installations on commercial projects. A lengthy discussion followed concerning the permitting requirements, permit fees and installations as they pertain to the electrical contractor and low voltage contractor.
*Vince Della Croce reminded all that inspections should not be scheduled until the work is completed, plans and permits are on site and the jobsite is unlocked and or accessible.
Gate codes must be made available to the inspector prior to his arrival on site.
Open discussion:
Supporting lay in type fluorescent fixtures in a dropped T-bar type ceiling was discussed. The Town of Jupiter and City of Port St. Lucie require wire support at opposite corners of the fixture and Martin County requires only attachment to the T-bar.
Meeting adjourned 5:45 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Vince Della Croce
Secretary
