Robert Marvel called the meeting to order on October 1, 2008 at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 PM. John Griffin led us in Prayer & the Pledge.

Present at the meeting were:
Dallas Stratton, Jimmy Douglas, Robert Marvel, Richard Davis, Wes Colley, Charles Crain, Susan Knopf, Donald Schlueter, John Griffin, Ron Rowe, Joff Filion, Taylor Sams, Charlie Mini, Joe McGowen, Robert Helfer, Fernando Gonzalez, William Gwin, Chris Buckelew, and Alan L Waters

A motion was made to accept last month’s minutes as written, it was seconded. The motion carried.

Treasury Report:
Dallas Stratton reported that all bills are paid and we are solvent. A motion was made to approve the Treasurer’s report and pay all bills. A second was made. The motion carried.

Old Business: The electrical TAC committee met this month on the 14th, we will be discussing their meeting and how it will affect the adoption of the 2008 NEC during our next meeting.
New Business: The ECF (Electrical Council of Florida) has presented us with information on their 2008 Tabletop Exposition in Daytona on October the 28th, see the attached flyer.

Education & Membership: Chris Buckelew with Ripple Associates gave us a presentation on LED lighting. It was “en-lighting” and we appreciate Chris’s time.

At our next meeting we will have a presentation from a representative from McBride Electrical Company to speak on their Company and lighting solutions. They are responsible for the invention of the “Mac-Cap”. More information on this product can be found at (www.mac-cap.us).

The next meeting will be held at the “Golden Corral” Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 noon November 5, 2008.

2008 TABLETOP EXPOSITION
The 2008 ECF Tabletop Trade Show has been set for Tuesday, October 28,2008, between 5:OOpm
and 8:OOpm at The Daytom 500 Club at the Oaytona International Speedway 'Infield" 1801 W.
International Speedway Bld., Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
The latest products and technologies available to the Electrical Industry will be on display, from a
wide variety of Vendors.
We are offering this FREE ADMISSION to you and your guests. We encourage your attendance at this Event; it should be beneficial to both you and your employees.
