Robert Marvel called the meeting to order on November 5, 2008 at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 PM. John Griffin led us in Prayer & the Pledge.

Present at the meeting were:
Dallas Stratton, Jimmy Douglas, Robert Marvel, Richard Davis, Wes Colley, Charles Crain, Susan Knopf, Donald Schlueter, John Griffin, Joff Filion, Chris Gwin, Andrew Schirmacher, Danny Padgett, Don Brindley, Edwin Garcia, Dwight Wilkes, Phil Dunnington, Mark Nechvatal, Gary J McBride, and Penny McBride.

A motion was made to accept last month’s minutes as written, it was seconded. The motion carried.

Treasury Report: Dallas Stratton reported that all bills are paid and we are solvent. A motion was made to approve the Treasurer’s report and pay all bills. A second was made. The motion carried.

Old Business: The electrical TAC met in Tampa this last month in a forum to discuss the adoption of the 2008 NEC. The committee voted 6-4 a vote of 7-3 was needed to move forward. The TAC will review this December and the 2008 NEC is expected to become effective July 1, 2009.
New Business: A motion was made to make December our Christmas meeting and have the Division pick up the check, it was seconded. The motion carried. Joff was directed to communicate this with the restaurant management and create a sign in sheet.
There was a discussion on above ground pool pumps, and pool and landscape lighting transformers that are not listed for the use.
The ECF reported they had 65 vendors in attendance at their Daytona expo.
Education & Membership: Don reported our Division having 141 members.
The BCAI inspectors must have at least 1 hour of ethics as part of their 14 hours of CEU’s. Don will have this class available by spring.
Jim Shoke will provide this next year.
Guest speakers Gary and Penny McBride presented information on Marine installations, Referencing NEC 300.15.

The next meeting will be held at the “Golden Corral” Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 noon December 3, 2008.
