Richard Davis called the meeting to order on January 7, 2009 at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 PM. John Griffin led us in Prayer & the Pledge.

Present at the meeting were:
Dallas Stratton, Jimmy Douglas, Wes Colley, Donald Schlueter, John Griffin, Joff Filion, Andrew Schirmacher, Don Brindley, Edwin Garcia, Dwight Wilkes, Phil Dunnington, Larry Spear, Rob Helfer, Ric Cobb, Charles Grebe, Steven Mills, Mark Nechvatal, Richard Davis, Robert Sly, and Alan Waters.
A motion was made to accept last month’s minutes as written, it was seconded. The motion carried.

Treasury Report: Dallas Stratton reported that all bills are paid and we are solvent. A motion was made to approve the Treasurer’s report and pay all bills. A second was made. The motion carried.

Old Business: None
New Business: Dwight Wilkes relayed the TAC committee met in December and will meet again in February. The ruling for adopting the 2008 NEC will “hopefully” be made in this meeting for a projected adoption date of July 09.
A discussion on our Division purchasing a projection screen came up, Don stated that he has one and will bring it in as needed.
Education & Membership: Don Brindley reported our membership at 150, with a couple expired members to rejoin, also that Senate Bill 256 is being voted on, and this bill would require on commercial/industrial jobs over 72 volts that at least one Journeyman would be required to be on site. There is an anticipated approval date of July 09.
Robert Sly gave us a presentation on UL and their anticipation for a new holographic logo that should help alleviate some of the counterfeit logos.
Dallas Stratton won the 50/50 drawing.
The next meeting will be held at the “Golden Corral” Restaurant in Palatka at 12:00 noon February 4, 2009.
