The vendor of the software we use has promised the last two versions to bring back the old search feature. This would allow us to search by say 300.5 and any other numeric search that we use to reference code sections. Also any common words such as and,if,also etc.
We lost that ability when we updated almost two years ago.
Well the next release is supposed to bring that feature back.
The issue has to do with using a faster search method that excludes things such as "." "()". which is what we live by.
The old search uses a different method that will make searches slower but I don't think we will notice a difference here.
So as soon as it is available we will upgrade.
Thank God and hoping for a new version soon.

I don't know about you but I hate the search tool the way it works now.

Well it looks like the next release in a week or so is going to have the much awaited search feature,
Meaning we can search for numeric strings like code sections.
And short words meaning less that 4 characters.
This was how it was in the old version two years ago. So I am excited about this.
As soon as it is ready I will implement it here.

I will probably still need to modify the advanced search where there is a date range to specify but overall it will be so much better.

It will still look the same but find items better.
