Please pray for the soul of Alan H. Fuhremann. Alan who was retired from the Hillsborough County Building Dept. as Chief Electrical Inspector passed away on 08/24/09. A brief viewing of the Urn, flowers, and visiting with family at 630 pm was held at the Wells Memorial Funeral Home in Plant City on Wednesday 08/09/09. A Memorial service immediately followed. Representing the Suncoast Division IAEI, I was honored to stand and pronounce to the gathering of Alan's constant professionalism and concern for the general welfare and safety of Florida's citizenry.

Please also keep in your prayers and thoughts, his widow Joan and the children. We in the electrical industry have lost a friend and a compatriot. They have lost a dear loved one.

Remember Alan for what he was and stood for. For though his body is gone from us, his spirit dwells within us. Grieve not for God wanted him now and has veritably set him free.

The May 2010 Florida Chapter IAEI Annual Business Meeting and National Electrical Code Workshop is not that far away. Make your plans now for attending and gleaning intricate knowledge of the NECode. If you have code questions, please get them to the Secretary or Nelson Montgomery. We will see that that get to the proper party for handling and inclusion into the meeting. Remember that knowledge is relatively inexpensive, BUT mistakes can be very expensive. Come to the meeting and share the commeraderie of the movers and shakers within Florida's electrical industry.

Well now, surprises of surprises never cease to occur ! ! ! ! ! Late the afternoon of 08/27 in Pt. Charlotte, while in a driving rain, trying to make a left hand turn against oncoming traffic, and the policeman sitting in his car instead of being outside directing traffic, lo-and-behold Nelson Montgomery called on my cell phone and asked me a rhetorical question. This was if I was serious about getting back involved in Suncoast Division activities. I of course (without thinking LOL ) said yes. As a break in traffic came and I made my turn, Nelson proclaimed to me that I was once again the Secretary for the Suncoast Division. I was stunned ! But I was honored to have been so asked and chosen.

The office of Secretary, Suncoast Division IAEI, Florida Chapter - Southern Section now resides with;

Plan to come to the monthly Division meetings. Your ability to stave off red tags, job site problems, legal problems, and of course money problems could very well depend upon your activity in attending the meetings.

COME ONE ! COME ALL ! MAKE YOUR VOICE KNOWN in Tampa Bay's electric industry. Believe thee me, you will not be a majority of one. You will have support and shoulders to dump your problems on !

See you there ! ! ! ! !

Respectfully Yours,

Dick Widera
