Good Morning Everyone,

Today is a sad day for the Florida Gulf Coast Division. We have received word that are long-time friend and dedicated IAEI member, Joe Schneeberger passed away this past Friday. Below is a posting of his obituary in the Sarasota Herald Tribune this morning.

More details will be provided at the meeting on Wednesday.

Joseph A. Schneeberger

Schneeberger, Joseph A.
March 10, 1931 - Sept. 10, 2010

Joseph A. Schneeberger, 79, of Englewood died Sept. 10, 2010.
Services will be at a later date.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara of Englewood; daughter Lorraine of North Port; extended family members; and many dear friends.
He was born to Geraldine and Joseph Schneeberger of Bronx, N.Y. After high school he became a licensed electrical contractor at age 22. On April 28, 1957, Joe married Barbara Gordineer of Shrub Oak, N.Y., and four years later built his first home in Baldwin Place, N.Y. He had an electrical business in New York for 28 years.
In 1981, Joe moved to Florida, living in Sarasota before moving to Englewood. He built and sold many homes in the Leesburg area and in 1989 became a licensed real estate broker. A member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors since 1953, he formed two IAEI divisions, both in New York and the Florida Gulf Coast Division here. In 2008, he received a recognition award in Jacksonville for 55 years of IAEI membership.
Joe enjoyed making everyone around him laugh, telling old family stories, reading and helping his "favorite daughter" with projects both large and small. He was the best father in the world and a devoted husband. He was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Raphael Catholic Church in Englewood.

All -

I will be putting an announcement in the local papers soon, but Mom and I have set a date for Dad's memorial Mass. Since many of you have asked, I thought I would give you the scoop.

It will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 770 Kilbourne Ave., Englewood. We will have a reception in the church hall immediately following; please come - that will be your opportunity to say a few words about Joe if you want, or just listen to others. I know this will mean the world to my Mom. We will also have some food and drinks.

If you need directions or would like any further info, I can be reached at this e-mail (lorraine2614@msn.com) or on my cell, 941-223-2015.
If you would like to call Mom (Barbara), her number is 941-474-0015.

If any of you need our addresses, they are:

Barbara Schneeberger, 1495 Fairless Rd., Englewood, FL 34223
Lorraine Schneeberger, 2614 Jollivette Rd., North Port, FL 34288

Thank you all for your support and kind words. It means so much to my family.

Love, Lorraine
