It appears there is a new log-on procedure on the MyFloridaLicense.com webpage. Previously, a DBPR licensed person would log into the system by providing a USER NAME and PIN. This procedure is no longer in place. To access your license information you need to “re-register” at the website listed below:

https://www.myfloridalicense.com/datamart/mainMenuFLDBPR.do

From there, you will create a new USER NAME (email address), a new PASSWORD, and create a security question. (A temporary password will be emailed to you when you register) You will then need to “LINK” your licenses to you new online profile.

The entire process only takes about 10 minutes.

Just got off the phone with DBPR, there are still bugs in the new system, can't ck your continuing Ed hours at this time, and can't link your licenses to your account yet, they are working on it

That's weird. I haven't had a problem with the new system at all...

It does appear the system has been overwhelmed. In addition to posting the topic here, I emailed this to my Building Officials Association of Florida and IAEI contacts AND to the Building Officials Association of Florida Discussion Group and Florida Code Talk Group.

That means literally hundreds of license holders are all trying to register at the same time and it is causing some problems for the server...

OOPPPSSS....

Yea you can, I finally figured it out, but you still cannot view your CEU hours, once you hit Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board,in the drop down, hit next and hit the next drop down under BCAI board and hit type of license, next, license number minus the first two letters, try that

nope, not working, after i choose BCAI and next, the next thing it asks me is the license number; numeric characters only. If I add the BN or PX in the number, it returns that it is non-numeric. There is no drop down to choose the prefix alphanumeric characters. What am I doing wrong?

You just use the pull down for license type and the numbers. It knows what the prefix is supposed to be.

I got it, after you choose Building code adminitrator and inspectors and click on next, there is another drop down that loads and you choose your inspector type like "standard inspector" or Standard Plans Examiner".

Dear Licensee:

Over the past few weeks, DBPR has been in the process of upgrading its online services. We are working to put most of our applications online to streamline the application process and reduce licensure times. Until recently, we had been working with an outdated system, so an upgrade was very necessary and will, in time, become a huge improvement for our customers. It will help us achieve our mission of licensing efficiently and regulating fairly.

The most significant change is that the upgraded system requires all users – even those of you who have had online accounts with our Department for years – to create a one-time registration profile before accessing the system. It replaces the previously-assigned numeric user ID with an email address you supply, and then asks for your license number. When you supply your license number, the system automatically transfers all data associated with the old account. If you had to manage multiple accounts under the old system to manage all of your licenses, you will now be able to link them all into the new single profile.

The steps associated with creating a new account were not clearly laid out on the web page and created confusion for many of our customers who attempted to log in with their old ID numbers. We have updated the website to include more clear instructions and want to apologize for any confusion this may have caused you.

These changes have been implemented to give you as much online access to our application processes as possible while keeping your personal information secure. More information, including step-by-step tutorials on how to create your new account and how to link your license to your account, is available online through the registration pages for your profession or business.

The system will also offer significant benefits. Users can receive registration confirmation via e-mail confirmation and retrieve a forgotten password. You’ll be able to get answers to eligibility questions to ensure you are using the correct application, and you’ll be able to log in and finish an incomplete application if you weren’t able to complete the application when initially applying. You’ll be able to check your application status and receive application summaries, and you’ll be able to make payments and receive payment summaries. In many cases the new system will allow us to provide same-day service for new applications and changes to existing licenses.

Please take a few minutes when you have time and create your new registration profile or, if you’ve already created a new profile, log in to the system and learn more about the different benefits it has to offer, like linking licenses to your account and maintaining license relationships. Our call center is equipped to answer any questions you might have along the way, although wait and hold times are longer with the increased volume of questions about the change.
