Mr. Roberts was a special guest at our September 2008 meeting. He gave a presentation on Lightning Protection, Grounding & Bonding, and Surge Protection. Over the last four years, I have corresponded with Mr. Roberts frequently. I was not aware Ed was having health problems until a few weeks ago when he contacted me looking for information on a fishing charter out of the Boca Grande area. I am saddened by this news and will miss his friendship and mentoring.

To those of you who don't know me I am Ed Roberts daughter. I need to let you know that my dad passed away last Tuesday. He was diagnosed with throat cancer in January and his doctors said depending on his response to treatment he would have a year or two to live. He was undergoing very aggressive chemo and radiation treatments and his body just couldn't take it. Dad didn't want a funeral so we're celebrating his life by holding a wake in his honor at Murphy's Pub in Alexandria, VA on April 22nd from 5-7pm.
