Is is required to install AFCI protection on a Laundry (washer) circuit where the laundry room is in Air conditioned space(i.e. not in garage)? Would it matter if this circuit has serveral receptacles versus 1 single outlet? What about a Wetbar in a bedroom (countertop GFCI receptacles, minifridge...) Thanks, Dan

If the laundry was a dedicated laundry room I say no but a lot of times a laundry could actually be called the hallway to the garage, then it might be yes. This would be a question your particular AHJ/Plan reviewer will answer.

I agree with Greg. If the laundry "area" is located in any of the spaces identified in Section 210.12(A), then AFCI protection would be required for those branch circuits located in that area. The same would apply to any and all branch circuits supplying bedrooms...
