The Joseph A Schneeberger / Florida Gulf Coast Division is morning the death of another distinguished member. James Kenna passed away on Saturday, August 27th. Jim has been a member of the IAEI since January 15, 1989. As the Meeting Agenda Chairperson, Jim scheduled and coordinated the guest presenters for each and every monthly meeting for at least the last ten years.

He will be greatly missed.

James T. Kenna, 70, of Punta Gorda passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011.

He was born August 5, 1941 in Elizabeth, NJ to Joseph and Charlotte (O'Neill) Kenna. James was a commercial electrician and retired in Jan 2000. He moved to this area from Bricktown, NJ in August of 2000. James was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 102, International Association of Electrical Inspectors and member of A.O.P.A. He received his private pilot license in 1972 and loved to go flying and he enjoyed going fishing, boating, and reading.

James will be greatly missed by his wife of 30 years, Linda; daughters, Erin Patricia (Bruce) Isaacchsen of Aldie, VA and Kerry Ann Kenna of Fanwood, NJ; son, Lt Col. Sean Kenna (Julie) of Leesburg, VA; and brothers, Ned (Joyce) Kenna, Roger (Nancy) Kenna both of Stuart, FL, Robert (Lois) Kenna of Manchester, NJ and David (Lolly) Kenna of Newfield, NJ; sister, Claire C. Kenna of Bethlehem, PA and two grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 10:30am to 11:30 am at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, Inc, Port Charlotte.
