Early next week I will be sending out 10 electrical code questions from the 2008 National Electrical Code. The questions will range in difficulty from 1st year apprenticeship through Master Electrician level. The questions will test your knowledge of NEC history, electrical theory, general code knowledge, & code calculations. There are NO trick questions.

To enter for a chance to attend the seminar for free, simply answer the 10 questions & forward them back to me by Sunday, October 9th. The names of each person that gets all 10 questions correct will be entered into a drawing on Monday, October 10th. The winner will be notified immediately & will be given a voucher to attend the October 15th Seminar completely free of charge.

Attached is the official Free Seminar – Code Question Challenge document. There are 10 questions. There are six NEC code questions & four calculation questions. The six NEC code questions are taken word-for-word from the 2008 NEC. Simply fill in the missing word or words & identify the code section the passage is taken from. You are not required to show you work for the calculation questions. Simply fill in your final answer & the applicable code section(s) used.

Both the answer & the code section must be included. All those that have all 10 questions correct will be entered into a drawing on Monday, October 10th. The winner will be notified via email or phone call. All submittals must be received by Sunday, October 9th. You can send in your answers via the mail, fax, or email. My contact information is provided below. The correct answers & code sections will be forwarded to everyone on Monday, after the winner has been contacted.

There are no other rules. Feel free to obtain assistance from your co-workers, on-line discussion groups, or any other source.
