The September meeting of the Florida Gulf Coast Division was called to order by Vice-President Gregg Brown. The Treasurer’s Report and Secretary’s Report were approved by the membership. Secretary Bryan Holland gave a report on the 2011 Southern Section Meeting & October Division Seminar.

A “Tribute to Jim Kenna” commenced. Members & attendees said a few words about their friendship & admiration for Jim & his dedicated membership to this organization. Jim will be missed but never forgotten.

Tommy Lasprogato gave an update on the 2013 Chapter Seminar. The committee will be reviewing a facility to host the event in Cape Coral. Bill Pancake announced submittal dates for the 2014 NEC Code Change Cycle. Wes Colley notified the attendees of an upcoming ECF meeting for the Manasota Chapter in Sarasota. The Vice-President reminded the members & attendees to bring in show-n-tell items for the next meeting.

This month’s presentation was given by Bryan Holland on Florida Energy Code – Electrical Requirements. A PowerPoint presentation and handouts were provided. A question and answer session followed the presentation.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 PM. Our next meeting will be held on October 19, 2011.
