I have asked Building Officials Association of Florida about it several times and received little response. Thank God for this IAEI forum. Many of us get isolated without the thought provoking discussions. I certainly appreciate the opportunity to gain from so many insights.

I agree. I really liked the Building Officials Association of Florida Forum.

The last I heard is that Building Officials Association of Florida will NOT be starting another online Forum. They may be able to post the archive of the old one so people can search discussions and content, but you will not be able to start new topics.

I have also heard that ICC is going to open a new online Forum, but I haven't seen anything official yet...

We tried this forum for the Building Officials Association of Florida as a private forum just for them but the board decided that with the security problems they had with their old forum that they did not want to proceed so it was shot down. In fact they did not want to discuss it at all.

They are happy with the email list server they currently use.

So I opened the permissions for all registered users to see if some people wished to use it.
I will probably leave it open unless the Building Officials Association of Florida requests us to close it.

As an officer of a Building Officials Association of Florida Chapter, I was planning on posting updates and news from the Building Officials Association of Florida here. Some people might not know that the Florida Chapter of the IAEI is a Chpater of the Building Officials Association of Florida. So, it makes sense to have information here on the IAEI Forum concerning Building Officials Association of Florida stuff.

We may also want to consider a FAPGMI discussion forum here as well. Just something to think about...

There are many of us who have multiple Florida Certifications. The national forums are OK but not Florida specific. I found the Building Officials Association of Florida Forum to be very Florida specific and very informative and helpful in dealing with day-to-day Code solutions. Liability has to be put aside compared to the need for consistency and open Code discussion that promotes that.

I am not familiar with the organization but we can simply add one here even if it never gets used.
A quick search shows like they are using Drupal. Which is a CMS that has a simple forum as part of the software.
The same as the IAEI treasure coast division uses.(Never understood that)
