It is my understanding that the listing and label has to be VISIBLE for the inspector to see at final inspection. Is this your understanding as well?

Humm. Hard to say on what is a sauna.
I have a portable spa outdoors. That is like 10 years old and the listing label is only visible by removing a panel.
If it was on the exterior then it would have evaporated by now.

This is not a hot tub, I'm talking about a self-contained steam room. This thing has no manufacturer's data (or name) visible anywhere, no data plate, no visible listing or label. Oh yeah, and it is brand new.

I would not approve the equipment without proper nameplate & listing labels.

The ANSI/UL category for Heaters, Saunas, & Steam Baths can be found in the UL White BOOK under KPJV, KPSK, & KQBZ. The White Book clearly identifies marking requirements.
