1. Regular monthly business will be conducted.
2. The presentation will be by a representative from Power Logics Inc. of the Tampa Bay area. The topic will be TVSS.
3. This is a licensing renewal year for contractors. State licenses expire on 8/31/04 ! ! ! ! !
4. Dick Widera is Chairman Pro Tempore of the Florida Chapter Educational & Code Clearing Committee. Any pertinent code questions which you want addressed by the Division, Chapter, Section, or IO should be forwarded to him. He also is the liaison between the Florida Chapter and DBPR for the Chapter CE programs.
5. The 2005 NECode is almost here. Get prepared for another round of educational seminars. Also the Division will be addressing several key changes at every monthly Division meetings.
2005 NECode changes seminars will be scheduled for the first quarter of 2005 if enough attendance interest is shown.
8. Dick Widera is seriously considering once again offering classes in the fall term for “Dick Widera’s School of Bootleg Electricity.” There will also be advanced courses in “How to fool the Electrical Inspector and get away with it.” Watch this monthly flyer for further announcements later this summer. Course tuition as in the past will be minimal just to cover expenses and rhetoric.
9. Pre registration for the 7/31 and 8/21 seminars is light. Please take advantage of the opportunity for high quality continuing education.
10. Will the 2005 NECode have a substantial dollar impact upon the industry. Why not come to the monthly meetings and glean the information that will help contractors prepare for the new code cycle.

Suncoast Division, 8 hour CE seminar with Mark Ode of UL-RTP, on advanced grounding. Scheduled for 800am at the Hardrock Hotel and Casino, 5223 Orient Road, Tampa. THERE ARE STILL SEATS AVAILABLE ! ! ! ! !
August 12
Suncoast Division, general meeting, 130pm, City of Largo, Police Annex Building.
August 21
Suncoast Division, 8 hour CE seminar with Mark Ode of UL-RTP, on Classification of Hazardous areas and Health Care Facilities. Also Jake Wright, CBO of the City of Winter Garden will be offering the 3 hour business class that is REQUIRED for contractors. After which those partaking of Jake’s class will finish out the day in Mark Ode’s class. Scheduled for 800am at the Hardrock Hotel and Casino, 5223 Orient Road, Tampa. August 28
Central Florida Division, 8 hour CE seminar with John Minick of NEMA, on Code Changes to the 2002 NEC. Scheduled for 800am at the Home Builders Association, 544 Mayo Avenue, Maitland.
September 9
Suncoast Division, general meeting, 130pm, City of Safety Harbor.
September 25
Florida Chapter, Board of Directors meeting. Scheduled for 830am at the Altamonte Springs Hilton in Altamonte Springs.
October 10-13
76th Southern Section meeting, Wilmington NC.
October 14
Suncoast Division, general meeting, 130pm, TECO Western Division.
November 11
Suncoast Division, general meeting, 130pm, City of Largo.

Let us all give continued support to the ECF-Pinellas Chapter in their efforts to regroup and rebuild.
Keep in mind that the Suncoast Division supports the indentured apprenticeship programs of the IEC- West Coast Chapter, the Bay Area Electrical Apprenticeship at PTECH-Clearwater, and the IBEW-JATC of Local 308 in Pinellas County.
